AMA’s RAPSIG would like to introduce one of our Co-Chairs, Dr. Aidin Namin, Associate Professor of Marketing Analytics at Loyola Marymount University.

Applying quantitative and econometrics techniques, Dr. Namin’s research interests are marketing and data analytics primarily in the area of retailing. Dr. Namin has received several grants, research, and teaching awards from different institutions. Some of these awards include Fulbright US Scholar Award; the Henderson Award; Thought Leader in Retailing Research; Paul R. Lawrence Award from the Case Research Foundation; many Best Paper Awards in Marketing Analytics and Big Data; Research Award from Western Decision Sciences Institute; and the AMS-AFM grant from the Academy of Marketing Science. Dr. Namin has also been the recipient of multiple teaching awards, including the AMA and the ACME Teaching Innovation Awards. Dr. Namin is selected as Best 40-Under-40 Business School Professors by Poets&Quants.
His research has been published in high-quality academic journals, including the Journal of Retailing, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Business Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management. Dr. Namin co-chaired the leading academic retailing foundation: the American Collegiate Retailing Association (ACRA) 2023 conference. He has served as Editor (Special Issue) of a prominent journal in the field.
