JR Special Issue Workshop on

“Reimagining the Physical Store”

The Journal of Retailing Special Issue workshop on “Reimagining the Physical Store,” held at Babson College on September 15, 2023, was nothing short of a success. The event brought together a group of retail researchers eager to explore the evolving landscape of physical stores.

One noteworthy aspect of this workshop was the active participation of various RAPSIG members, as well as its leadership team, notably RAPSIG Co-chair Courtney Szocs, Rapsig Board member Abhijit Guha, former Board members Dhruv Grewal and Anne Roggeveen, and former VPs of Programming Riley Krotz, Finance Carl-Philip Ahlbom, and Sponsorship and Practice, Jens Nordfaldt, among others.

The workshop featured a lineup of 10 research papers, each offering unique insights and perspectives on the future of physical stores.
