Retail & Pricing SIG Mini Research Workshop @ Winter AMA Nashville!

The American Marketing Association Retail & Pricing Special Interest Group (RAPSIG), in coordination with the Journal of Retailing (JR), is hosting a mini research workshop for PhD students and junior faculty at the 2023 AMA Winter Academic Conference in Nashville!

Senior leadership within RAPSIG, along with active Editorial Review Board members of the Journal of Retailing, are providing individual feedback to PhD students and Junior faculty members (less than three years from PhD completion) on how to develop retailing and/or pricing research that really matters. The RAPSIG’s mini research workshop is designed to develop both understanding and skills to facilitate publication of research on important real-world retailing/pricing questions and problems.

We invite you to provide a brief abstract of your current (or planned) research to receive individualized feedback. Please submit a 250-word max abstract that includes the following:

  1. Problem – identify the problem addressed and why it is important for Retailing/Pricing
  2. Approach – outline your approach (e.g., framework, research design, data)
  3. Results – highlight your key results or anticipated results
  4. Implications for Practice – specify how your results can help practitioners make decisions

Please submit abstracts or any questions to Riley Krotz (riley.krotz@ttu.edu) and Stacey Robinson (sgrobinson@culverhouse.ua.edu) on or before January 16, 2023. Abstracts will be reviewed, and decisions will be made on a rolling basis until this date or until the session is full. Please note that the Early-Bird deadline for the Conference ends January 10, 2023, so earlier submissions are strongly encouraged.

We look forward to seeing you in Nashville!

Sincerely,

Riley Krotz, Stacey Robinson, and the entire AMA RAPSIG family
