We are excited to highlight the winners of the RAPSIG Lifetime Achievement Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes scholars who have contributed significantly to research in the field of retailing or pricing. This year, the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award are:

Abhijit Biswas (Wayne State University)

Dr. Abhijit Biswas, the Kmart Endowed Chair and Professor of Marketing at Wayne State University, is ranked the 10th most published pricing researcher in the world between 1980 and 2010 and the 2nd highest publishing author in the Journal of Retailing. Interestingly, Professor Biswas’s productivity is increasing over time, with most of his FT50 publications coming from within the last 12 years. This prolific record is represented in Dr. Biswas’s high h-index (39).

Shankar Ganesan (University of Notre Dame)

Dr. Shankar Ganesan, the John Cardinal O’Hara, C.S.C. Chair of the Marketing Department at Notre Dame, has garnered over 21,000 Google scholar citations and has an h-index of 25. Professor Ganesan’s solo authored Journal of Marketing, which examines the determinants of long-term orientation by retail buyers and suppliers, is considered a path-breaking paper on relationship marketing. In addition, Dr. Ganesan has served as editor for the Journal of Retailing and has served as an ERB member for top journals for over 20 years while just being elected to his third term as chair of the Marketing Department at Notre Dame.

Please join us in celebrating the exceptional acts of service performed by Dr. Biswas and Dr. Ganesan!
